Supporting the Thigpen Family
At their 20-week ultrasound, the Thigpen family received news no parents ever expect to hear. Their baby boy was diagnosed with several serious congenital heart defects: Double Outlet Right Ventricle (DORV), Congenitally Corrected Transposition of the Great Arteries (CCTGA)—a rare and complex condition—and a Ventricular Septal Defect (VSD).
These diagnoses mean their little one will face a long medical journey ahead. Multiple surgeries will be needed to repair his heart, and if these procedures are not successful, he may ultimately require a heart transplant.
Through it all, the Thigpen family remains strong and hopeful, but the emotional and financial burden is significant. Medical expenses, travel for specialized care, and time away from work all add to the challenges they are already navigating.
By coming together in support of the Thigpens, we can help ease their load so they can focus on what matters most—caring for their son and surrounding him with love. Every donation, no matter the size, makes a meaningful difference.
Thank you for standing beside this family during such a difficult time.
