I am participating in The American Cancer Society Walk/Run again this year. Thanks to the wonderful support of friends and family, I have raised over $21,400 in the past 13 years.
Why do I participate in this event? In memory of Mom and ALL who have touched my life, that have battled cancer. It is the one disease that seems to have touched everyone at some point: you, a family member, a friend or even an acquaintance.
Before cancer took my mom in 2021, fortunately she got to see her children become adults, became a grandma of 6 and was married for 60 years. Sadly, what she didn't get to see was her great grandkids - which she was so looking forward to.
