On Saturday, November 22, 2025, Miles for Moffitt celebrates its 20th anniversary—and Team Fighter has been there for 12 of those years, running in with Michelle DeJong's Fighter Foundation, and raising over $500,000 for Moffitt Cancer Center’s life-saving research. Michelle faced glioblastoma with more courage and positivity than we'd ever seen—she fought not just for herself but for everyone who dreams of more sunrises, more laughter, more life, move love. Her words still drive us: we run because we are “too inspired by what’s transpired.”
This year, I’m taking on the Anniversary 15K Challenge, and I’d be honored if you’d join Team Fighter—whether you walk the 1K Fun Run/Walk, push a stroller in the 5K, race the 10K or wheelchair division, dash in the Kid’s Run, or tackle the 15K. Every mile we move powers pilot studies and patient care at Moffitt, which since 2006 has raised over $14 million for cancer research.
Why run with Team Fighter?
- Carry Michelle’s legacy: Run in memory of my wife, a remarkable woman whose fight sparked hope in countless hearts.
- Honor your loved ones who have bravely fought, are currently battling, and who have beat cancer!
- Be part of something big: Over 9,500 participants raised $1.6 million just last year
Moffitt Cancer Center—imagine what we can do in our 12th year! - All abilities welcome: From strollers to racing chairs, every participant matters.
Register today with Team Fighter and let’s move for love, courage, and the search for cures—together.
Michelle showed us that every step forward, no matter how big or small, is a triumph. Lace up, bring your friends, and let’s run for her, for each other, and for the future we all deserve.
