In Indiana alone, an estimated 42,150 people will be diagnosed with cancer in 2025, and 14,080 Hoosiers will lose their lives to this devastating disease. This year, Team Turner is proud to participate in Hoosiers Outrun Cancer in honor of our owner’s incredible mother, Kim Turner, who is currently fighting glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer.
We run not just for Kim, but for every family impacted by cancer in our community. The funds raised through this event support the Cancer Support Community (CSC) of South Central Indiana, which offers free, comprehensive care to anyone affected by cancer—patients, survivors, and their loved ones. CSC programs include:
- Individual counseling and support groups
- Nutrition and fitness classes
- Oncology massage and Reiki therapy
- Educational workshops
- Social activities to reduce isolation
- Food and transportation assistance
- Free wigs and comfort kits
...and so much more.
These services provide real hope and real help—at no cost—to families when they need it most.
