Hey Friends and Family!
Growing Roots is a wonderful place where Kaci enjoys working with friends and helping out with farm chores three days a week. I affectionately call it GRoots and marvel at the progress Kaci has made there. GRoots is a non profit that exists solely to provide meaningful, healthy, and safe opportunities for people with differing abilities. In the 3+ years Kaci has participated in the top notch programming offered by a highly skilled occupational therapist and her apprentice, Kaci has surprised us all by learning many new skills, developing positive relationships with her therapists and peers, getting good exercise outdoors, caring for and interacting with farm animals, enjoying nature, and contributing meaningfully in a group setting. Mostly, we are all so proud of how Kaci has overcome many barriers posed by her disabilities and has truly achieved more than anyone expected. To top it off, Kaci is proud of herself and is a stronger person because of her time in community at GRoots.
