Our mission is to provide service to others, promote integrity, and advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through our fellowship of business, professional, and community leaders.
Our world’s need for help is unceasing. Rotary helps fund projects and provide hands-on support, locally and globally -- from donations to provide thousands of emergency shelters for people who have lost their homes; to providing books to elementary school students in our communities to improve literacy.
HOW WILL MY DONATION BE USED? This year, 50% of your donation will be used to fund youth suicide prevention through The Second Wind Fund (https://thesecondwindfund.org) which connects youth at risk of suicide to life-saving mental health services. Surveys show that one in five high school students in Colorado has seriously considered committing suicide. The Second Wind Fund seeks to reduce youth suicide by providing mental health care to people under the age of 19 who are at risk for self-harm and who face one or more barriers to accessing such care. The Fund works with 900 therapists statewide who are available to youth in person or via telehealth in an expedited manner. The Fund covers the cost of therapy sessions for at-risk young people.
The remaining 50% will flow to the Littleton Rotary Foundation which gave over $100,000 to local community organizations last year, including Nourish Meals on Wheels and our elementary school week-end food program. Your generosity will be leveraged by our club's own time and money.
