I am honored to participate in the 38th Annual Ben to the Shore, which supports the Families Behind the Badge Children's Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit committed to improving the lives of children in the Greater Philadelphia and South Jersey area.   

I had to take a break for work reasons last year, but I am happy to be on the bike for my 14th ride this year.  I ride, like I have every year, in memory of Police Officer John Pawlowski, who was killed in the line of duty in Philadelphia on February 13, 2009.  He was a heroic police officer, but also a brother, son, husband, friend, and expectant father who did not live to see his son born.  This foundation does transformative work for families of fallen first responders and in improving relationships between police officers and youth in the communities they serve.  I am proud to have been a part of it since 2010.
