I am excited to participate in the 38th Annual The Ben to the Shore, which supports the Families Behind the Badge Children's Foundation! 

My husband, Trooper Paul Richey, was killed in the line of duty in 2010, leaving behind our two children, countless family and friends, and me.  As hard as that was to navigate, we had the constance presence and reassurance from our police family.  Families Behind the Badge is an amazing organization that supports families of first responders in every possible way they can including financial and emotional/mental well being.  

Our group, Together With Troopers, will be riding again this July and are looking forward to raising more money for families that have, and sadly will go through the loss of a first responder.  If you are able to donate, know that your donations will go to help so many people.

The Families Behind the Badge Children’s Foundation (FBBCF) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit committed to improving the lives of children in the Greater Philadelphia and South Jersey area. We achieve this by providing necessary financial relief for the families of fallen or critically injured first responders (police officers, firefighters, EMTs); cultivating positive relationships and interactions between police officers and the children in the communities they serve; and providing mental and emotional wellbeing resources to first responders and their families.
