Why I ride

This year, I ride for our fallen and critically injured heroes who can no longer ride for themselves. Most especially, I ride in honor of my beloved husband, Highway Patrol Officer Andy Chan, who gave his life in service to the City of Philadelphia and the surrounding tri-state area.

Police officers and firefighters dedicate their lives to one of the most honorable professions. Their work requires extraordinary courage, compassion, and selflessness. They run toward danger when others are running away, placing the safety of others above their own. They take an oath to serve with honor, integrity, and unwavering commitment to protecting our communities and making the world a safer place for all of our families.

It is a privilege to ride this year in their honor.

I hope you will consider supporting my ride and this incredible cause. The Families Behind the Badge Children's Foundation was there for our family when we needed it most, providing kindness, compassion, and support during one of the most difficult times in our lives.

Your generosity will help me pay that kindness forward so another first responder's family can receive the same support when they need it most. Together, we can be a beacon of hope, helping lift the financial burden from families facing unimaginable loss and ensuring they know they are not alone.
