Texas Autism Walk

Our family loves raising money to support the work of the Autism Society of Texas!!!  They do so many important things for the Autistic community but our family has been touched personally with the Autism Girl's Group they facilitate every month.  Dylan has been able to partake in all sorts of cool activities in community with other nuerodiverse girls.  From a cooking class, to making art after a tour of the Women & Their Work gallery, to exploring the central library together, to an acting class and a yoga class, we've had a lot of fun experiences together with a group that we feel right at home in.  Y'all it's HARD to find other autistic girls to be in community with.  And we are looking forward to more opportunities coming up such as volunteering together!  

But they do so much beyond the things that have touched our family personally.  They fight for the rights of autistic individuals at a state level, they inform and instruct - supporting both autistic people and their families with classes and talks, they facilitate opportunities for respite care for families, they make connections, and host awesome events!  We enjoyed the holiday party with a sensory friendly photos with Santa experience, and we REALLY enjoyed the sensory friendly event at Volente Beach water park!!  And I know there are so many other families they are helping who need it far more than we do.  It's for these reasons and so many more, that we are proud to donate to the Autism Society of Texas.  Thank you for helping us, to help them, help others!!!
