The Emily Shane Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering middle school students who are at risk of falling through the cracks. Founded in memory of 13-year-old Emily Shane, the foundation transforms a tragic loss into a powerful purpose: ensuring that every child receives the support they need to succeed.
Through its unique SEA (Successful Educational Achievement) Program, the foundation provides intensive, one-on-one academic mentorship and social-emotional support to "mainstream" students who struggle but do not qualify for extra help. By pairing these students with trained mentors, the foundation fosters both academic improvement and the personal confidence needed to thrive in high school and beyond.
