The United Arc is a historic organization supporting individuals and families living in western and central Massachusetts as they seek opportunities to obtain the universal goals of community inclusion, ownership of choice, and maximizing independence.  

The United Arc supports youth tackling the challenges that come with early adulthood and provides parents facing the possibility of losing the opportunity to care for their children with the skills needed to effectively provide a nurturing home.  UArc also supports individuals and families living with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities as well as those with Autism who are wanting to have the opportunity for inclusion and acceptance. 

All funds raised for The United Arc at the Flutie 5K will go towards advocacy efforts and housing solutions.  Seventy-five years ago, The United Arc was founded by families wanting nothing more than for their children to have the chance to feel the wonderful sense of friendship, community, and inclusion.  Our agency is working to once again aid those who have been marginalized in having their voices heard and in their efforts to have the same opportunities for a sense of belonging.  Donations received will go to helping build those advocacy platforms and allow those we serve to have the opportunity to share their message with the community.  Additionally, The United Arc is focused on developing housing solutions for all vulnerable populations in Western, Massachusetts.  This effort will be funded through donations as current funding only covers existing programs.
