Sue’s a legend.
On November 7, I’ll be joining Team SueNami for an 80-mile ride through Charleston to raise money for cancer research at MUSC Hollings Cancer Center.
I met the SueNami crew completely by chance at a running festival, and after hearing a little bit of their family’s story, I knew I wanted to be part of it. Susan has battled melanoma 29 times. 29-0 is a record worth celebrating!
Growing up, cancer was a dirty word. It riddled its way into so much of my family’s story, its impact different as the years went on. A diagnosis that once sounded final more recently comes with a strong sense of hope. I know how much we’ve benefited from years of research, new treatments, and better screening protocols. So cheers to more of that and less of the C word.
If you’d like to support, donate any amount.
For the ones who raised us. For more time. Let’s ride.
