Inflammatory breast cancer is one of the most aggressive and devastating forms of breast cancer, and for me, this mission is deeply personal. After watching Lori’s courageous battle with IBC, I made it a goal to help create something meaningful from her legacy, something that could change the future for patients facing this disease.

That mission helped fuel the creation of the Inflammatory Breast Cancer Program at the The James Cancer Hospital’s Stefanie Spielman Comprehensive Breast Center (SSCBC), the first program of its kind in Ohio and one of only a handful in the nation. I was honored to help build this program with my amazing colleagues at SSCBC with a focus on what matters most: faster recognition, quicker diagnosis, access to specialized care, and expanded research to improve outcomes.

For years, with the support of this incredible community, we have worked to turn that vision into action. Every dollar raised helps advance critical research, improve patient care, and create hope for women and families facing IBC. Together, we are not only honoring Lori’s legacy, but we are also working to change the story of inflammatory breast cancer for future patients.
