Promise in Brevard, an affordable housing community, is home to 125 adults with intellectual, physical and developmental disabilities. It's enriched by our comprehensive Resident Community Program, which offers over 60+ weekly activities including art classes, fitness classes, vocational training, numerous outings and more. 

Promise in Brevard is on a mission to empower individuals with disabilities and gives them a place where they can live independently and joyfully. At Promise, our residents have the opportunity to build life skills, participate in fun activities, and live in a community of other people like them. We also offer vocational training and help our residents find meaningful work in our local community and in our Promise social enterprises, which include Promise Cafe and Bakery, Promise Treasures Thrift Shoppe, Promise Doggy Treats and our Mailing and Fulfillment Center.  

Promise is excited to partner with the Flutie Foundation, who does so much for the autism community nationally. Our hope with this 5K is to bring our local community together around a good cause and give them the opportunity to better get to know our organization and residents. We are also excited that the event will be taking place in West Melbourne Community Park, where our cafe is located, and to be combining the 5K with one of our favorite annual events, our Ping Pong Palooza, a big ball drop with big cash prizes.
