Wausau 24

Fri July 29 - Sun July 31, 2022 Wausau, WI 54401 US Directions
Rules of Wausau Trail Run 2021

The pre-race meeting will be on Friday at 6:45 pm.  All runners must attend the pre-race meeting.

Starting runners must be at the starting line prior to 7:00 pm.

The trail is a mix of ski trail and single track mountain bike trail. The mountain bike trail ranges from beginner with mild rocks and roots to advanced with larger rock features and rock gardens.

Water and Nutrition

Water and nutrition will be available at the Start/Finish as well as 2 aid stations on the course (Red Bud Road at approx. mile 1 & 3, and Checkpoint Charlie at approx. mile 7). Nutrition may be supplied to any racer, by anyone, anywhere on the course, however, racers must stay well clear of the course when taking food or water (And please do not throw energy food wrappers on the ground. Remember: Leave No Trace).

Although the 5K and 10K runners may not need lights,  you may wish to carry something in case of injury and delay in finishing. HALF MARATHON runners NEED lights. I recommend a headlight and a handheld light to help cancel out the shadows.

No headphones are allowed to be worn by runners as you must be listening for call outs for passing.

Permitted Course Runners

Only officially registered racers, credentialed media and event staff may be on the designated race course during the event.

Team Number Display

Racers must display their number on the front, whenever on-course.  Race officials may request to see this at any time.

Short Cutting

Shortcutting the course by any logged-in racer shall result in a disqualification.

Each participant must cross the finish line to have their time and successful finish recorded. Failure to cross the finish line will result in DNF (did not finish).

Law Abiding

Federal, state and county laws and ordinances will be abided by at all times.
