Bike Fed is hosting it's annual Ride Across Wisconsin (RAW) in Eau Claire this year. This event includes a 100 mile ride, which is a statement distance amongst cycling enthusiasts. While such a ride could be completed independent of an event, the logistics of rest areas, maintenance, and rescue vehicles (or sag wagons) is difficult without a host. It is also much more exciting to be part of a group!
This is the primary fundraising event for the Bike Fed which, in their words, "is Wisconsin's statewide non-profit bicycle advocacy group."
"Since our inception, the Bike Fed has taught thousands of children and adults how to ride safely and legally. The Bike Fed is responsible for legislation like the three-foot passing law, the anti-dooring law, e-bike legislation and rules that have helped get paved shoulders added to thousands of miles of roads across Wisconsin. The Bike Fed also promotes the bike industry and Wisconsin's hundreds of races and rides on our website and through the circulation of our annual Ride Guide magazine.
Our Vision
We are here to help make Wisconsin one of the best places in the world to ride a bike. We want residents and visitors alike – from all backgrounds – to make cycling a central and convenient part of the Wisconsin experience.
Our Mission
The Bike Fed is here to cultivate, motivate and unite a strong community of citizens as well as business and political leaders to move bicycling forward in Wisconsin – through education, legislation and involvement.
