2023 46 Mile Ride for Childhood Cancer Awareness

n Memorial Day weekend 2012, Hope's family took her to Urgent Care because she had a pain in her arm. What started as a simple trip to the Urgent Care, turned into the start of Hope's fight. It was on that trip that they discovered that there was a tumor in Hope's right shoulder. One week later Hope was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma. She valiantly stared her fight with a port placement and her first round of chemo. Hope fought hard but despite a brief remission, her cancer returned with a vengeance and on October 16, 2014, she gained her wings. Hope enjoyed soccer, cheerleading and drama club. She was KEYS ambassador and despite her own fight worked hard to put smiled on the faces of other children. Hope was 15 years old when she gained her wings, but she never stops looking over her family and friends. Hope was a fighter and fought hard. That is why We Ride for Hope. So that we find a cure so that no other child goes through what Hope went through.
