Timing Chip & Race Number Collection

Timing chips must be collected on Thursday, May 21 between 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm from 3 Stacey Estates, Warwick. Timing chips will not be available on the start line. Your season race numbers are to be worn on your right side.

 
Rider Instructions

There are two start groups in Somerset, Male and Female.

The Women start group will begin approximately 3 minutes behind the male group and will have a controlled neutral start.

The race begins with a neutral section. Riders are to respect the speed of the lead vehicle, remaining behind the vehicle. During the neutral phase all riders are to respect the Start Groups and not move up.

There will be a motor bike referee starting and a lead vehicle for the men’s race, women's race and Youth Classic.

Drafting between competitors in the men’s race and the women’s race is not permitted.  Men may not draft women and women may not draft men.

Traffic is closed in both directions for the entirety of the race-course but riders must remain vigilant for hazards, including unauthorised vehicular traffic along the course.

A sweep vehicle will be available for transporting race bags to the awards area.

The courses are described as follows:

Full Course:

Starting on Somerset Road by the former Arnold’s Supermarket heading towards Hamilton, then Middle Road until a left on Burnt House Hill. Becomes Harbour Road and continuing to a left on The Lane and left on to Crow Lane which becomes Front Street.  Right on Queen Street, right on Church Street and left on Cedar Avenue.  Finish is just before Elliott Street.

Youth Course:

Starting from Ft. Hill in Devonshire (near ZBM) and following the last 2 miles of the full course, ending on Cedar Avenue in Hamilton. From Middle Road continue west towards the City of Hamilton. Travel along Cavendish Road onto Reid Street. Continue west on Reid Street, to turn left onto Court Street then right onto Front Street heading west. From Front Street turn right onto Queen Street going north. Then turn right onto Church Street to head east, then turn left onto Cedar Avenue  Finish is just before Elliott Street.
