Course Description:
The Pleasure Island Time Trial is held in conjunction with the Carolina Beach Double Sprint Triathlon. The time trial starts immediately after the last cyclist in the triathlon has cleared the course.
This is a two-lap ride on a totally closed course. Participants will start at the Carolina Beach Fire Department on Dow Rd. and ride 2.75 miles south towards Kure Beach. The turnaround point is at the Kure Beach Town limits sign.
There will be a total of three 180-degree turns on this 11 mile course - two at the Kure Beach turnaround point and one at the Start/Finish location (Carolina Beach Fire Department) following the completion of the first lap.
Road surfaces are as smooth as they get.
