Within the context of USA Triathlon, adaptive refers to multisport events for athletes with physical, visual, intellectual, or other impairments. This adaptive category differs from Paratriathlon, which is a stricter, medically-classified competition.

Family Relay (All Ages!)

Teams of two or three athletes compete, with each member completing a different leg (swim, bike, or run) of the triathlon, and then passing on a timing chip (or "baton") to the next teammate.
