THE FINISHER MEDAL
Description
Join us for our annual Atlanta Memorial Day 5K Classic to pay homage to our men and women of the United States Armed Forces who have sacrificed their lives for our great nation. The Red White And Blue Mile is to pay tribute to the fallen heroes that gave the ultimate sacrifice for their country. When you are running the 5K and you get to that final mile, 2.1 mile mark on the course, think of all the soldiers that lost their lives in battle. 8 x 10 Photos can be placed along the final mile of a friend or family member that you are running in memory of, we will place the photo between mile 2 and 3, please email victoria@marathonmajic.com for more details.
This race originated in Florida and is now celebrating their 34th year running in Weston, Florida! It is one of the most anticipated events in the United States!
THE FUNDS
Every year the funds generated from this event are used to produce a full-scale production for the United States Military at South Com. This event takes place one week after the Memorial Day Classic for the United States Army's Birthday. The event is totally free for all soldiers at Southcom and they get all the perks of a regular 5K; timing, shirts, medals, music and more!

RACE LOCATION AND PARKING
The start/finish and race day registration and check in is at the corner of North Avenue, NE and N. Angier Ave. NE, Atlanta 30308 just inside the Historic Fourth Ward Park which is directly across the street from the back side of Ponce City Market. A short block away is the famous Dancing Goats Coffee Bar, 650 North Ave.NE. There is off street parking all around the park as well as public parking at Ponce City Market and at the condos on N. Angier Ave.NE close to the start/finish.
