Cycle Through the Vineyards
Cycle Through the Vineyards
Temecula Sunrise Rotary (a 501c3 nonprofit) is again celebrating Spring in the beautiful Temecula Valley Wine Country on Sunday May 3rd with our annual CYCLE THROUGH THE VINEYARDS 2026! And for our past participants, 2026 brings exciting changes! For the first time LORIMAR Vineyards will be our host venue for the start/finish, post-ride celebration and raffle! We are again excited to give away a raffle grand prize of an AVENTON E-BIKE from AVENTON BIKES! Then our local AVENTON dealer Bicycle Warehouse of Temecula has upgraded the ebike and warranty coverage to bring the value of this ebike to over $2,500!
Due to overwhelming popularity, we will again offer a shorter scenic guided tour route of 13 miles for our intermediate riders. But note that while there is no way to totally avoid the challenges of the vineyards naturally hilly terrain, the shorter route is designed to better accomodate our intermediate level participants.
Lorimar Winery is a popular local winery known for its daily live entertainment performing from the stage and a generous dance floor. All this and the tables are nestled amongst the vines in the heart of Temecula Wine Country. They will be offering discounts on their wines and food for our ride participants! We are confident that our riders and guests will find LORIMAR Winery and a great venue to hold our post ride “happy hour” as we celebrate AMERICA 250 with the American Patriot Band! We have a fun filled experience planned for our participants! We hope you will join Temecula Sunrise Rotary and Mission Hope for our Cycle Through the Vineyards 2026.

AGAIN IN 2026 . . . 2 DISTANCE CHOICES . . . CHOOSE BASED ON YOUR EXPERIENCE!
18 Mile Full Distance or 13 Mile Shorter Distance!
This is not a race and will not be a timed event! There will be two planned routes. An 18-mile (approx) route for well experienced e-bike riders. If you are on any non assisted bike, you should be well experienced riding in varying terrain. Our pace target will be approximately a 12 to 14 mph average. We will also offer a shorter 13-mile route (approx) with fewer hills for intermediate e-bikers. While we welcome all riders, we caution those of you who may be new to e-bike touring as novices that there will be hills some may find challenging. These routes necessitate an understanding of the challenges associated with riding of diverse elevations. While the shorter route will eliminate some of the more challenging hills, there is no way to totally avoid some hills! The planned routes will both offer impressive views with stops to enjoy photo opportunities of our wine country and the surrounding countryside. Our leaders will also share some interesting information from time to time about what you are seeing along the route. Both routes will be mostly on lightly traveled paved roads, but there will be one short section of dirt road!
