Final Race Day Details!
An update to information shared with all registered participants on Wednesday, 4/22/26 regarding parking is below.
We will no longer be using the field parking behind Zion Church. All participants will be directed by traffic control to park along Hightower Church Road and walk to the gate at FS-141. You will then turn right and walk down that paved road. At the bottom of the paved road, you will bear right onto the grass behind the original Overhang that is currently under construction. You will take the wooden foot bridge across the creek and stay to the right behind the pavilion. The registration table and start/finish line will be hard to miss from there. An updated map is being sent on Friday, 4/24/26.
You should plan to bring everything with you that you will need for the race (and after, if you plan to use the showers). We will have a secure area at the start/finish where personal belongings can be left during the race.
You should plan to bring a headlamp or some form of light to get from your car to the registration tent.
Showers will be available for use after the race if you plan to stay for Open House. Men's showers will be in the gymnasium above the Overhang (and where the Overhang is currently/temporarily house). Women's showers will be in Building 31 on camp (a map will be sent closer to race day with details).
The Overhang will be open for breakfast following the race.

Join us on Saturday, April 25th to kick off the 28th Annual Mountain Ranger Run and Bike Races at Camp Frank D. Merrill. Choose your distance for the run with 7k and 15k options, or grab your mountain bike and hit the single track for 34k. Stick around after the race and spend the day at the Ranger Camp watching demonstrations, repelling, and more! Open House is free of charge and open to the public.
Government issued photo ID required.
Shirts can only be guaranteed to anyone who registers on or before Friday, April 17th. Anyone who registers on or after April 18th, including race day, cannot be guaranteed a shirt.
**Please note: all courses MUST be cleared by 10:45 for the Open House schedule of events. Anyone still on course at this time will be pulled.**
Parking will open at 5:45am. Packet pickup will only be on race day, opening at 6:00am
NO DOGS ALLOWED (this is due to insurance liabilities)
Race day registration will open at 6:00am and will close 15 minutes prior to the start of each event.
Awards will be given to top 3 male and female in each event. No age group awards.
