Race Rescheduled to July 17th, 2025
New Date: July 17th, 2025
Race #2 of the DFW Summer Series is officially being postponed to our second rain date on July 17th 2025.
- All Registered racers will automatically be moved to the next available event, Race #3.
- If a racer is already registered for Race #3 then they will be moved to the Rain Date 2 event on July 17th.
- If you prefer being moved to a different date (such as week 4) just email us back and ask.
Erwin Park sustained heavy rains on Sunday night and heavy winds. Trees are down at many places in the park and all trail surfaces are prohibitively muddy. With high chances of rain through the rest of this week we wanted to send the postponement notification early.
Part of our mission is to bring awareness to the incredible work done by DORBA for trail maintenance. They are a non-profit doing trail maintenance at 28 trails and over 270 miles of singletrack in North Texas. Respecting their efforts and staying true to our mission means we postpone races when conditions are excessively bad.

The HOTTEST Racing in Town! The DFW Summer Series presented by Sun & Ski Sports!
The DFW Summer Series is an annual favorite for all mountain bikers in North Texas. Taking place at Erwin Park in McKinney Texas, races are held on Thursday nights ALL summer long.

Format
Races will be mass start on a short track course of 2.7 miles in length. Most categories will do multiple laps of the course. Erwin Park is our classic short track course with plenty of variety throughout. Wide open fields will test your top speed, tight and twisty tree gates and roots will challenge handling skills. There are drops in some places and all riders should be familiar and comfortable with the features included.
All AGES are calculated based on the participant age at the end of the year (12/31/2025). This is done so that all participants will race within the same category or age bracket for the full series.

- Men, Singlespeed and Ebike - 7:15pm

Registration fee schedule is as follows:
Adults
- $30 - Preregistration period Adult 14 years +
- $40 - Late Registration period Adult 14 years +
Juniors
- $20 - Preregistration period Junior under 13
- $30 - Late Registration period Junior under 13
Course Map
The 2024 DFW Summer Series presented by Sun & Ski Sports will race on an event only short track course starting and ending at the Hilltop Pavillion. PLEASE keep ALL parking on the paved lots only, do not park on the grass or soft surfaces.
