Description

Please note that this "event" is informational only and intended for individuals to ride and camp on their own schedules.

Route access fees waived for Club Spinistry members. Discount will be automatically applied at checkout. This location has access to a vast network of gravel routes ranging from under 20 to over 120 miles and everything in between. There is also an on site mountain bike trail, camping facilities and showers. This is the perfect spot to learn to camp while bike riding or just setup a great base camp for a full weekend of adventure!

There is no timing or course markings or in person support of any kind associated with it. We are providing suggested routes and associated information based on our knowledge of the area as of April 2023. We do not warranty or guarantee the status of the routes or any other details after that point. We also make no guarantee to current accuracy of mapping data. Different devices might manipulate routing data in different ways or/and there could be unknown data point errors. Use your own judgement and do not trespass if your GPS reroutes you for some reason. We do NOT know the current status or conditions of any of the roads. Conditions are constantly changing based on weather and county maintenance.

Please note that 4R Ranch Vineyards and Winery is private property and you must secure proper permission to utilize their facilities. Camping reservations are available via Hipcamp.com. More information about the winery, mountain bike/hiking trails and home rental is available here: https://www.4rwines.com/

All gravel routes use a combination of private ranch roads on 4R Ranch as well as public roadways that are subject to the Texas Traffic Code. Please ride accordingly. These routes are intended to be 100% self supported. There are no amenities along the routes. Once you are signed up you will have access to full details including route files, free access to the Ride With GPS navigation app for these routes, notes on the area for parking, overnight options, etc.

Registered riders who complete the long route will be added to the "Wall of Fame" for that route.

Basic notes:

No amenities available on these routes. Riders should plan to carry all they need.

There is no known approved camping along the routes aside from what is available on 4R Ranch. The vast network of dirt roads makes this setting an ideal location to get familiar with camping and bicycle riding together. Car camping setups are perfectly fine. There is no need for specialized bikepacking equipment.

There is a good amount of elevation in all routes compared to most Texas routes. Please keep that in mind when choosing your route distance.

Cell phone service is spotty and there are stretches with no cell coverage.
