2022 KAR Odds n' Ends Mystery Run

Join for our first ever (and possibly the only) Kalamazoo Area Runners Odds n' Ends Mystery Run events!  What is a Mystery run, you might ask?  KAR has a variety of shirts, hoodies, medals, swag, awards, and all sorts of other goodies that have been left over from prior KAR events.  Rather than simply discarding these and sending them to a landfill, we are offering a free, fun, and very casual event.  This will be a "member reception" type of run, welcoming both KAR members as well as non-members.  Each participant will receive some sort of "swag," which could include a random size race shirt, a medal, and/or possibly even some other cool award or prize.  The distance will also be a mystery, with participants choosing to run short (maybe 1 to 3 miles), medium (maybe 3 to 5 miles), or longer distances (maybe even up to 10 miles).  There will be two venues on two different dates--an "East" event on 5/22/22 at the Calhoun County Trailway, Kimble Pines trailhead, upper parking area, and a "West" event which will be held at the Eliason Nature Reserve Pavilion on 6/5/22.  Please note that participants will be responsible for their own hydration, snacks, etc., as these will be self-supported, self-timed, and informal events.  The best part is that there will be no cost for these events and participants may enter both the East and West editions.  Tell your friends and sign up quickly!  There will be a limit of 100 participants per event.
