Description

A 2-week exploratory race where teams of 2-5 will be provided a list of specific activities they have to complete. Each activity is assigned a certain amount of points based on its difficulty. The team with the most points by the end of the 2 weeks is declared the winner. The entire list includes over 250+ miles of possible runs that will require teams to explore and be goofy.

This event will start on November 1st at 12:00 am and end on November 15th at 11:59 pm. Once the race officially begins, we will email every team member the list, and then it is up to your team to strategize how to approach it.

To register for this race is FREE. But we ask each team to raise $50/decade of age. Meaning, if you are 40 years old to raise $200 or if you are 45 years old to raise $225. Resources will be provided on our main website, www.missioncleanwater.org/thehunt, to assist runners with how to reach their fundraising goals.

Daily results will be posted on The Hunt webpage to provide updates on the current leaderboard.

If you are an interested team not in New Jersey or New York and want to participate, WE WILL create a custom list for you so everyone can participate.

Who is MissionCleanWater?

MissionCleanWater is a 501c3 nonprofit organization working to bring clean drinking water and sanitation to underserved communities. Our organization is focused around the fact that 60% of all clean water project in Africa have failed. Instead of rushing through the development of projects, we focus heavily at the grassroots level. We work everyday on the ground with communities to develop a solution together. Through community relationship building, training, and long-term involvement, we want to fully maximize the investment of clean water and bring out its full potential.

Our team has been involved with the trail running community both as a hobby and professionally. We want to develop new race experiences that challenge runners to be more engaged, think on their feet, and work together. From these races, registration will act as a donation going towards our clean water efforts.
