To preserve the memories of the people who sacrificed in defending freedom on September 11, 2001, the National Trail Memorial Alliance, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization (911Trail.org), is pleased to host the 911 Trail Challenge. The 24-mile loop, non-competitive ride set for September 12, 2020 will take participants on a journey from Berlin through Shanksville to the Flight 93 National Memorial and back.
The objective of the ride is to raise awareness about efforts to create and maintain a 1,300-mile multi-use trail that connects New York City National September 11 Memorial and Museum, Flight 93 National Memorial in Somerset County, PA, and National 9/11 Pentagon Memorial in Arlington, VA.
The registration fee includes a t-shirt, rest stop food and beverages, on-road safety support, and SAG vehicles.
Check in and packet pick up begins at 8 am. Riders should be on the road by 9 am. The route will close at 2:30 pm and on-road support will end at that time. Riders should plan to be back by that time or be prepared to finish the ride unsupported.
There are no refunds for this event.
