The San Antonio Sports Corporate Cup presented by OrthoNow is a one-of-a-kind Olympic-style, co-ed, team building, opponent-taunting, skills-flaunting field day for adults that pits company vs. company in the ultimate competition to claim the cup! It's not about athletic prowess. Oh no my friends, this is all about coming together to bond, trash talk and score points!

Besides joining forces with colleagues in a fun, active and football-tailgating-kind-of-way (with bragging rights and a really awesome trophy that won't leak beer), the San Antonio Sports Corporate Cup incorporates a Charity Challenge into the competition each year. San Antonio Sports is proud to partner with Haven for Hope, the San Antonio Food Bank, Boys and Girls Club of San Antonio, University Health Blood Donor Services, and the South Texas Blood and Tissue Center. Together, we can have fun with all the feels as we do good for our community.

And...
Proceeds from the Corporate Cup will provide sports and fitness programs for the youth of our community, especially those who are underserved, as well as all of the other amazing things we do for San Antonio like host the Final Four. It doesn't get better than reliving your glory days while going head-to-head with a rival company, but if you need the best reason, do it for the kids!

We are excited to announce the newest addition to Corporate Cup with our F45 Fitness Challenge being added as a required event/challenge to 2024!

F45 will work with Team Captains to set up Corporate Cup Team Day workouts for each Corporate Cup Team with option of individual Corporate Cup participants able to visit studio to earn points for their Corporate Cup team. Corporate Cup Teams can coordinate more than one (1) visit with a new group Corporate Cup participants that have not already competed in the F45 Fitness Challenge competition. F45 will assign each Corporate Cup division a F45 point of contact for scheduling and service.

Each Corporate Cup team can have an unlimited number of participants participate in the F45 Fitness Challenge for their company.* Upon arrival to an F45 studio, Each participant will be issued a Lionheart (heart monitor). Only the top 6 Lionheart points for each company will be used to rank each team. Total LH points for each team will be logged to satisfy San Antonio Sports ranking system 1st-10th 100 point ranking system. From top LH points to the lowest LH points for each team. (*teams can schedule more than one workout during the challenge timeframe, not all employees that participant have to be consolidated into one workout session.)

2024 Corporate Cup Information

The 2024 Corporate Cup will take place live and in person on June 1 at UIW*!

This is a great way for your employees to experience team building and camaraderie while participating in several different events whether you're back at the office or still working remotely. From cornhole to KanJam, tug-of-war, football toss, running and walking, sack races, soccer shootout, dodgeball, and basketball- there is truly something for everyone!

2024 Corporate Cup Pricing:
Division 1 (1,000+ employees): $4,000

Division 2 (400-999 employees): $3,000

Division 3 (150-399 employees): $2,350

Division 4 (75-149 employees): $2,000

Division 5 (under 75 employees): $1,750

2024 TAILGATE ZONE MAP

Starting February 1, we will open our available inventory for company's to select new spaces or purchase to then select their spaces. Companies who have payed prior to February 1 will get the first priority to select their space based off their payment status, then their registration date. This excludes event sponsors as their spaces will be reserved and not displayed as available.

We strongly encourage companies who participated last year and would like to have the same spaces this year, that you register and pay before February 1 or your previous spaces will be available for other companies to reserve.

There are now four (4) Tailgate Zone. Please see the map for reference, specific space numbers will be release after February 1.

Whataburger 5K - April 13 (Hosted at UTSA)

Date: Saturday, April 13, 2024 - 8AM

Registration Deadline: Tuesday, April 9

Bib Pickup Date: Friday, April 12, 2024 - 5PM-8PM

In conjunction with our annual Fiesta FitFest, presented by H-E-B, the 2024 Corporate Cup Whataburger 5K will be hosted at UTSA on Saturday, April 13 at 8AM.

Packet/Bib Pickup will be mandatory on Friday, April 12 at FitFest (UTSA East Campus Lot) from 5PM-8PM. Captains and/or a company representative will need to pick up their bibs the evening before the race.

*We are requiring that ONE (1) individual come to pick up their team bibs for all runners from their company. Whomever that person is will then be responsible to distribute the bibs among their team’s registered runners/

We encourage ALL Corporate Cup participants to come enjoy the festivities of FitFest which include but not limited to: the Beer Mile, FREE Fitness Workout, the EXPO Athlete Village with over 50 vendors, and plenty of beer and food!

As a thank you for coming out to FitFest on Friday evening for Packet Pick Up, every Corporate Cup Team will receive two (2) FREE entries into the Beer Mile that is Friday, April 12 at FitFest from 6:00pm-8:00pm. Codes will be emailed in the coming weeks.

Reminder that the 5K Run has no gender requirements and although we allow 10 employees per team to participate, only the eight (8) best times for a team will count towards the team score. Each team must have at least four (4) runners in order to qualify for team points. Any team with less than four (4) runners registered will automatically get the minimum of 10 team points earned. All individual runners will still qualify for individual points earned.

For any other employees from a company that are NOT registered for their competing Corporate Cup team in the 5K but would still like to run in the event can purchase their registration as runner through the link below. Corporate Cup runners will receive FREE entry and a chipped bib but all others will need to purchase their own entry if they wish to run in the event.

PNC Hula Hoop Challenge is Back!

We are excited to announce that we have a new sponsor for the Hula Hoop Challenge as PNC will be sponsoring the event for this year's Corporate Cup! We are grateful for PNC's continued support and partnership in this event as they also sponsor our Team Tailgate Contest.

More information to come soon on this event but we do plan to adjust the event format this year, reducing the time and thus making a better experience for teams and giving participants more time in their schedule during the day of the Corporate Cup madness.

VOLUNTEER FOR POINTS PROGRAM (REQUIRED PROGRAM)

We are excited to formally add our Volunteer for Points Program as part of the competitions and events in which employees can earn up to 100 additional points for their company.

Each company can have up to four (4) employees volunteer for qualifying events now until June 1. Each four-hour shift completed by an employee earns 25 points toward their team's total score. The deadline to register to volunteer for Corporate Cup is May 10.

Tailgating, tacos and beer, oh my!

Companies can purchase tailgate spots in the designated zones through the Team Captain Store. Tailgating isn't for the faint of heart and it's definitely a popularity contest! Judges will be roaming the area to crown teams with the best set-up, décor, themes and overall spirit! So, fire up the grill, get that playlist ready and start coordinating your flash mob!

Enjoy the Glazer's Beer Garden - located between the baseball and softball stadiums.

What would Corporate Cup be without FREE beer! Glazer’s will be supplying the liquid carbohydrates for participants and spectators as part of the best field-day tailgate around. Those of age will enjoy a wide variety of free beer served by our TABC trained staff and volunteers. ID’s are required to receive a wristband and a reminder to always drink responsibly.

Grab a taco or two from Taco Cabana who will be onsite making them fresh to order.

If your team’s idea of tailgating is a couple bags of chips and warm diet soda, don’t worry. Concessions from Taco Cabana will be available for purchase on-site. You'll even have the opportunity to pre-order so there's no wait for your favorite taco.

Per UIW Campus policy, no pets are allowed on the track or inside the fenced stadium area.

Assigned tailgate locations will be shared one month prior to event.
