Join us on Saturday, September 20, 2025. Routes begin and end at University Stadium in Albuquerque, home of the UNM Lobos!
- Bike rides are open to riders age 12 and up.
- 25-mile ride tours Albuquerque’s Paseo del Bosque Trail along the Rio Grande.
- 50-mile ride loops around Albuquerque in a dynamic blend of urban streets, riverside trails, and foothill terrain.
- All rides offer scenic, serene views.
25 mile ride
This ride offers cyclists an opportunity to enjoy some of the best views in the valley. The Paseo del Bosque Trail winds along the Rio Grande, with flat tree-lined terrain. It is downhill to the Trail and a climb upon return to the Stadium. Two rest stops will be provided to support riders.
Classes 1, 2 and 3 E-Bikes are allowed on the route. Class 1 operates only while being pedaled and under 20 mph; Class 2 operates whether being pedaled or not and under 20 mph; and Class 3 operates only while being pedaled and under 28 mph. No other motorized vehicles or other classes of E-Bikes are allowed. Trail Courtesy
The Paseo del Bosque is a multi-use trail. You may encounter many different kinds of users. Expect to meet bicyclists, walkers, runners, people with wheelchairs, in-line skaters, equestrians, families with strollers, among others. Always remember that courtesy and caution are a part of having an enjoyable and safe experience on Open Space trails. 50 mile ride — NEW route
Our 50 - mile route offers a dynamic tour of Albuquerque, perfect for experienced cyclists looking for a scenic and rewarding challenge. Starting and ending on University Blvd SE, this loop takes riders through a blend of urban streets, riverside trails, and foothill terrain.
After a smooth start through the city, riders connect with the Paseo del Bosque Trail—a local favorite that winds along the Rio Grande through lush cottonwood forest. The route continues north along 4th Street and climbs into the Sandia foothills via Tramway, offering beautiful panoramic views.
The return leg weaves through quiet residential neighborhoods and dedicated bike lanes, bringing you back to the finish line feeling strong and accomplished.
Expect well-marked turns, aid stations along the way, and some of the best scenery Albuquerque has to offer!
