Join Our Mission of Hope and Healing
This year, I am honored to be selected and a part of Team ONE MILE, a group of people coming together for a cause that is deeply personal to me: supporting the children of fallen service members and disabled veterans. These families have made incredible sacrifices for our country, and it is our turn to give back.
In 2026, we are proud to partner with two incredible organizations, myTEAM TRIUMPH - Operation Guardian Angel, and Camp Hometown Heroes.
Camp Hometown Heroes provides a free, week-long summer camp for children aged 7-17 who have lost a loved one in service to our country.
As the camp's organizers say, these children are the tragic embodiment of the statement “Freedom is not free.” The camp has been a growing source of support since 2013, welcoming children from nearly every state, and with your help, we can raise the funds to welcome even more.
Our team is a community of individuals from all walks of life, each with our own stories of loss and resilience. We are united in our mission to inspire hope and show others that they are not alone in their grief.
A Journey of Resilience There are times in life that challenge you to your very core, moments that force you to dig deep and find a strength you never knew you had. For me, that time came after the loss of my mother, and was followed by the loss of several soldiers and friends during my time in the Army. The weight of grief was immense, and there were days when I felt like I couldn't go on.
But I discovered that true strength isn't about standing alone; it’s about the courage to lean on others and find purpose in connection. My faith, my family, and my Army community were my lifelines, reminding me that healing is a journey we take one step at a time.
Why I'm Riding That’s why I am so passionate about Team ONE Mile and Operation: Healing Hearts. Their work with Gold Star children and disabled veterans embodies everything I believe about service, compassion, and the power of community. While I am not a Gold Star family member, I understand the pain of loss and the importance of coming together to heal.
Through this fundraiser, I’m not just riding for myself — I’m riding for the children who carry the weight of sacrifice far beyond their years, for the veterans rebuilding their lives, and for every person learning to turn pain into purpose.
Together, we can honor their stories and prove that healing is not found in the absence of struggle, but in the miles we continue to take — side by side.
