Hello world!
I'm participating in my 5th Ride4AReason event (consecutive since 2021)! I am riding to support Oakland Public Schools. While I don't have kids myself, I am lucky to be a part of a wonderful community including some great kids who are in the Oakland system and who have benefited from R4R fundraising efforts in the past.
For example, my friend Felicity's kid's elementary school (Emerson Elementary) is a Title I school where they are currently expecting to lose multiple literacy tutors and their PE coach next year. Ride 4 a Reason last year provided the school with a significant chunk of money last year that helped pay for the school garden teacher this year!!!
I am riding to continue to raise funds to fill in missing critical positions. Please help me meet my goal. 114 miles will go a lot easier when I know my fundraising will help provide needed support to Eilah and her friends.
