Description
Join us on a spooky 7.75 mile community bicycle ride after dusk. Note: this is NOT a race. Helmets and bike lights are strongly encouraged.
We are seeking groups to provide haunted scenes along the route (see scene info in section below)! Riders will then vote for their favorite scene after the ride. The scenes with the most votes will earn prize money for their organization.
Participants receive a t-shirt (while supplies last) and awards for the best decorated bikes.
Ages: All (11 & under must be with adult)
Date/Time: Friday, Oct. 13. 5-6:45 check-in, 7pm ride. RAIN OR SHINE.
Route: Start and finish at Main Square Park (3001 Ridge Road, Highland IN 46322)
Registration: Only at bikesignup.com/highlandfrightride
Ride Day Reg.: On site at Main Square Park, cash only!
Fees: $15 through Oct. 5, $20 Oct. 6-12, $25 day-of
Traffic control support provided by Highland Police Department.
Support by Trek Bicycle Store Schererville and Ridge Cyclery
Food vendors and a DJ will be on site pre/post ride (5-10pm)
Haunted Scenes Wanted!
We are seeking groups (non-profits, businesses, families, or friend groups) to provide haunted scenes along the route. Riders will then vote for their favorite scene after the ride. The scenes with the most votes will earn prize money for their organization. The 1st place prize money is $250, 2nd $150 and 3rd $100 (3rd place only paid out if over 5 scenes).
