I'm not much of a cyclist. Haven't been on a bike in years. But when a friend told me her story, I said yes before she could finish asking.

Her name is Stephanie Miller. She lost her sister Kellie and Kellie's unborn daughter Emersyn Grace in a tragic accident. The kind of loss that changes everything. The kind of story that stops you cold.

And yet here she is, still showing up. Still fighting for first responders and the families behind the badge.

On July 26th, I'm riding 65 miles from Philadelphia to Atlantic City as part of the Ben to the Shore Bike Tour, benefiting the Families Behind the Badge Children's Foundation on the Wheels of Justice team. They provide financial relief and mental health resources to first responders and the families of those who gave everything. 

I'm training hard. My legs are going to hate me. But that's kind of the point.
