My connection with the Just for Kids Foundation (JFK) began when I first arrived in Telluride in 2018. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with organizations supported by JFK, including several years with Telluride Academy and later as Program Director of True North Youth Program until 2023. In that role, I not only applied for JFK grants but also guided students in securing Man of La Mancha scholarships to help them pursue their post-secondary dreams. Joining JFK as a board member in 2023 felt like a natural next step—an opportunity to continue supporting the incredible work that transforms the lives of young people in our community.
We live in a unique and geographically isolated region where resources can be limited, but our nonprofits provide life-changing opportunities for youth that wouldn’t exist otherwise. The M2D Ride is the primary fundraiser that fuels these efforts, ensuring that funds go directly back into our community.
