Join Me in Supporting Autism Speaks at the 2025 Javelina Jundred!
I’ve committed to something deeply personal: running 100 kilometers at the Javelina Jundred ultramarathon to raise awareness and funds for Autism Speaks . And I’m doing it for someone very special—my son, Nolan.
At five years old, Nolan was diagnosed with autism. That moment marked the beginning of a journey that would transform our family, test and strengthen us. Life with Nolan has been full of joy, challenges, learning, and love. He’s taught me more about patience, perspective, and unconditional support than I ever thought possible. And while his journey is uniquely his, ours as a family has been shaped by the compassion of friends, family, and a dedicated support team we are endlessly grateful for.
Being Nolan’s father has opened my eyes to the everyday realities of those living with autism and the many misconceptions and gaps in understanding that still exist. That’s why I’m choosing to share our story and why I’m running 100K to raise money for Autism Speaks.
Autism Speaks is the largest autism research and advocacy organization in the United States, dedicated to promoting solutions across the spectrum and throughout the life span for the needs of individuals with autism and their families. Trail running has been my way of staying grounded—a space where I can challenge my body, strengthen my mind, and find peace when life feels overwhelming. Nolan grew up watching my races, and he’s been there at finish lines, cheering louder than anyone. In 2024, he handed me the medal at the finish line of my first ultramarathon. That moment will stay with me forever. Now, I’m going to be racing again, this time with a specific purpose.
I have until October 11, 2025, to reach my fundraising goal. If I do, I’ll toe the line at the Javelina Jundred 100K in Arizona in honor of Nolan and every individual and family living with autism.
Every donation, no matter the size, brings us one step closer. I hope I can count on your support.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you!
