My Experience with Odyssey
Over this past summer I volunteered with Odyssey and got the opportunity to work with the 5th graders. Seeing how eager the kids were to learn and how happy they were to be there was an amazing thing to see. They get to make new friends and explore some aspects of learning, such as STEAM, that they may not get to experience during their school year. Odyssey is such a wonderful program that means so much to the me, and it is because of supporters like you that Odyssey is able to provide these kids with such amazing opportunities.
Odyssey's Mission
Since 2004, Odyssey’s six-week summer education program has transformed the lives of thousands of students from the metro area. Through its partnership with the Westminster Schools, Odyssey serves over 375 students each year and provides them with a gold-standard learning opportunity that incorporates project-based learning and a STEAM curriculum for grades 1-12.
Odyssey's tuition free program targets "middle third" students - typically from underperforming schools in neighborhoods with fewer resources-who may need the extra push, the nurturing environment, and the sense of community that a multi-year program can provide
100% of Odyssey students graduate high school on time and are accepted
to a college or university of their choosing!
Odyssey is made possible with the support of local corporations, foundations, and individuals who share our passion for education and preparing our youth for success in school and in life! Thank you for helping support my fundraising efforts!
