There are so many stories about “why people ride” in the Ben to the Shore. My story is a story of gratitude. I served as a police officer for 26 years - I started with North Wildwood PD, then Clayton PD, Merchantville PD and finally Berlin Twp PD. I had the honor of working with some of the finest officers in our profession and had the privilege to meet thousands more throughout this country and around the globe. I’m also grateful that my mother “suggested” that me and FOP Lodge 56 (aka Rest Stop #1) get involved.  Italian mom guilt is a strong and real thing. 
Since I’m always a little busy on the ride day, I’ve decided to do a virtual ride. My virtual ride is long overdue, but it’s much needed and may be the toughest undertaking of my life.
