LIABILITY WAIVER. I am a member of SOMA Fox Running Club (“SFRC”, or “Club”), and understand and acknowledge that running and other related SFRC activities are potentially hazardous activities, which may cause injury or death. I certify that I am in good health and medically able to perform all activities associated with the Club. I further certify that I will not participate in any Club organized events, including but not limited to group training runs or social events, unless I am medically able and, if new to running, have consulted with my physician prior to beginning a running program. I agree to abide by the SFRC Code of Conduct, and all other rules established by the Club, including the right of any official to deny or suspend my participation for any reason whatsoever. I assume all risks associated with being a member of the Club and Club activities, including but not limited to: falls; collisions; physical contact with other participants/members, volunteers, race personnel, contract service providers, employees, and spectators including the potential the contraction of a communicable disease resulting from contact with other participants/members, volunteers, race personnel, contract service providers, employees, and spectators; weather conditions; high heat and/or humidity; freezing cold temperatures; traffic and the conditions of the terrain. I hereby acknowledge the risk of Coronavirus/COVID-19 and other communicable diseases and that the CDC https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/prepare/prevention.html and other public health authorities (and/or my physician) may recommend practicing physical distancing and other precautionary measures, including abstaining from group activities. I understand that SFRC will use best efforts to follow all such applicable guidelines, and all SFRC members are encouraged to follow all current federal, NJ, and local regulations and recommendations regarding communicable diseases. I acknowledge the contagious nature of COVID-19 and other communicable diseases and voluntarily assume the risk that I may be exposed to or infected by COVID-19 and/or other communicable diseases by participating in any Club activities. I hereby release SFRC and its directors, officers, employees, volunteers and members of any and all liability related to COVID-19 and/or other communicable diseases. I understand that bicycles, skateboards, baby joggers/strollers, roller skates or inline skates, animals, and personal music players are not allowed in Club organized runs or events. Having read this waiver and knowing these facts and in consideration of your accepting my membership, I, for myself and anyone entitled to act on my behalf, waive and release SFRC and the Road Runners Club of America, all club sponsors, their representatives and successors from all claims or liabilities of any kind arising out of my participation in Club activities, even though such claims may arise out of negligence or carelessness on the part of any persons or organizations referenced in this waiver. I grant permission to all of the foregoing to use my photographs, motion pictures, recordings or any other record of the club for any legitimate purposes including promotion of the club.
