Community Ride FAQs
Registration and Check-In
We encourage you to pre-register online for individual rides. Once you’re signed up, you’ll receive a confirmation email. When you arrive, just share your name or show your confirmation email to get checked in.
Not all rides offer day-of registration — please check the specific ride page for availability.
What’s included with my registration?
Trailnet Community Rides are guided, slow-paced, group bike rides that explore the history and culture of the St. Louis Community. Your registration includes a docent-led group ride experience featuring points of interest relevant to the ride topic.
Please note that points of interest along the route are not stocked as rest stops. We can’t guarantee access to restrooms or water, so please plan accordingly. We highly recommend bringing what you’ll need to stay comfortable along the way.
Event Day
When should I arrive?
Check-in typically opens about 60 minutes before the ride start. We recommend arriving early so you have time to park, check in, air up your tires, and get settled before rolling out.
Do you cancel rides for weather?
Trailnet rides are held rain or shine — riding in the elements is part of the adventure!
However, if extreme weather is likely, we may delay or cancel for participant and volunteer safety. Updates will be shared by email, text (if opted in), and social media.
Do I need to ride at a certain pace?
Trailnet Community Rides are guided, slow-paced, group bike rides averaging a moving pace of 6-10 mph. You will have the opportunity to rest every few miles at points of interest.
Routes and Navigation
Are the routes marked?
Community Rides are led as group rides, so routes are not marked on the road. Trailnet staff and volunteers will ride along and assist the group with wayfinding. The route will be shared with you in Ride with GPS in advance, and we encourage you to familiarize yourself with the route in advance for the best experience.
What is Ride with GPS?
Ride with GPS provides route maps and turn-by-turn navigation. You’ll receive your event route link before the ride. Features vary depending on your Ride with GPS subscription level.
Can I download routes ahead of time?
Routes are finalized shortly before the event, and you’ll receive an email when they’re ready to download. Please wait for that notice — last-minute changes sometimes occur due to construction or safety conditions.
