The Challenges girls face: By age 14, girls are dropping out of sports at TWICE the rate of boys. Girls have FEWER outdoor opportunities than boys. Girls experience bullying, discrimination, and social isolation more than boys. Girls lack strong, confident, female athletes as role models.

GRO girl GRO is responding to these challenges by INCREASING the number of girls and young women in Tucson, Vail and surrounding areas who BELIEVE they are capable and strong athletes and outdoor leaders through safe and supported outdoor experiences.​ GRO girl GRO is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to empowering girls and young women in Tucson, Vail and surrounding communities through mountain bike riding, hiking, and outdoor adventures. Our programming is firmly grounded in adventuring AND giving back to our trails and community.
