Hello friends/family/colleagues,
This July, I will be taking part in The Great Bicycle Tour – TGBT XXXVII. This is my fifth year riding but this is my most exciting year ever!!! MY 15 YEAR OLD GRANDSON WILL BE RIDING WITH ME THIS YEAR!!! I am over the moon that we’ll be doing this together on behalf of kids and families facing struggles in the foster care system. I’m so excited about it and I need your help!
You may be wondering, what is The Great Bicycle Tour (TGBT) and why am I riding it for the 5th year in a row.? Well, TGBT is an amazing 4-day, 184.5-mile ride along the C&O Canal. It is hosted by a wonderful nonprofit organization, San Mar Family and Community Services, as its major annual fundraiser.
There are so many reasons for doing this special ride: to make a difference, a bucket list ride, a challenge, etc. But the most important thing that happens as a result, is that children and families who are facing some tough situations, will be helped and supported.
