Same Great Race, New Name & Branding (Formerly the Noojin & White Race to the Courthouse).
The YMCA of Greater Birmingham is excited to introduce a new name and brand for our annual race. We are evolving our event to energize the community and create broader appeal, and foster an even deeper connection with the community in all the ways that it matter. Plus, new in 2025, a Fun Run to accompany the 5K event! Y It Matters captures the heart of our mission: To strengthen community in three areas: Youth Development, Healthy Living and Social Responsibility. By running/walking in the Y It Matters 5K & Fun Run, you're supporting critical programs in these three areas. The proceeds from the event will continue to benefit the children of Downtown Youth Center.
