Life Aid Research Institute seeks to improve brain health by researching and validating emerging technology and functional medicine therapies in order to create new treatment protocols. The whole health approach empowers resilience by combining peer support, technology, functional medicine, and community activation that will reduce suicide in military, veterans, and first responders.
We have a two-pronged approach to our program.
The first is our Life Aid Retreats:
The Life Aid Retreats and Challenges take place across the US, and provide opportunities for veterans, first responders and their families to come together to learn, connect and have fun. Events include workshops, therapies, community service projects, and group physical activities like road or mountain cycling and hiking. These retreats incorporate peer support, technology, functional medicine, and community activation in a way that will challenge, improve the health of participants, and empower resilience.
The second is our Life Aid VOICE Project – Veterans Out Improving Communities Everyday
Life Aid VOICE Project is a nonpartisan effort to effect real change, by using veteran and first responder influence to build bridges to improve relations between law enforcement and the communities they serve. In-person town halls are conducted during our retreats as part of our community activation. We also host Virtual Town Halls twice a month.
