Getting There
Public Transportation
We encourage you to consider taking public transportation to the ride. You can bring your bike on MetroBus and MetroTransit. Learn how here.
The nearest transit options to Chain of Rocks Park include:
- #60 MetroBus Shepley @ Spring Garden OR Cameron @ Spring Garden. From either stop, head south on Spring Garden until you find the Riverfront Trail. Turn left on the trail to head north 1.6 miles until you find us at Chain of Rocks Park!
- Riverview Transit Center - accessible via MetroBus 16, 40, 41, and 60. You can access the Riverfront Trail from Riverview Drive here and turn left on the trail to head north for 3.4 miles. Be careful crossing Riverview.
Driving
Parking
Parking at Chain of Rocks Park is limited. Volunteers, Ride to Unite riders, and Family Route riders are welcome to park at Chain of Rocks Park.
All other riders are encourage to park at North Riverfront Park. A Trailnet volunteer will be in the park from 7 to 10 a.m. to welcome you. Enjoy a 1.6 mile warm up ride to Chain of Rocks Park. A mechanic will also be available in this parking lot in case you discover any mechanical issues when unloading.
In addition, parking is available at the Old Chain of Rocks Bridge Parking in Illinois. There is a small parking lot on the Illinois side of the bridge, but Trailnet will not have a presence at this lot and there is no security present.
Plan Your Route: Go Marathon!
The Bridge Birthday Bash falls on the same day as the Greater St. Louis Marathon this year, which means may of the streets in downtown St. Louis and the surrounding areas will be closed. Be sure to check the marathon route map and plan your drive in advance to avoid delays. Road closures will also be reflected in navigation apps like Google Maps, Apple Maps, and Waze to help guide your route.
