Liberty Adventure Program: Saturday, November 8-Monday, November 10
San Diego Dune Tours & Palm Canyon Campground (about a 2-hour drive from coronado)
Listen to nearby coyotes while sleeping under the stars. Anza Borrego desert state park is the perfect place to ride ATV’s and explore one of southern California’s best kept secrets. This trip includes basic meals, camping gear, ATV excursion, transportation, and guided hike.
DAY 1: will depart for San Diego Dune tours in Ocotillo, CA at 0830 AM from NAB Liberty and 0900 AM from NASNI Liberty Centers. arrive at Ocotillo, CA and start our two-hour ATV tour. Set up camp (primitive style without a tent is encouraged), bonfire, dinner, refreshments and Games
DAY 2: casual departure from Ocotillo, CA around 9 or 10 am starts our drive through the Anza Borrego desert state park towards our final campground at Palm canyon. set up camp, visit the visitors center and town. Guided hike through the palm canyon trail. Free time to explore on your own. fire, dinner and camp stories before bed.
Day 3: start drive back to base, stopping in Julian, CA for lunch. arrive home early afternoon (enjoy the rest of your holiday)
Packing list will be provided before departure date. please pack in layers to stay warm! as this time of year can be freezing at night.
Camping equipment, food, experience, and transportation provided.
