Packet Pickup
Packet Pick-Up will be Friday, January 23 from 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM, and Saturday, January 24 11 AM - 3:00 PM at Fleet Feet
Race day packet pickup, at base of Old Zoo (by the roundabout) is from 6:15 AM - 7:15 AM. We highly encourage runners to take advantage of 15% off purchase at Fleet Feet Burbank by picking up packets on Friday or Saturday. This will only be available for those people picking up on those days. If you’re picking up on Sunday, leave plenty of time to park and check gear. It’s recommended to arrive at Park Center one hour prior to your start time. Pick up your bib Friday or Saturday to avoid the hassle of having to wake-up super early just to wait in lines.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What is the course terrain composed of?
A: The 8M course is approximately 6 miles of trails, and 2 miles of asphalt. We recommend you wear trail running shoes to better handle the uphill and downhill sections of the course. The 8K course is 3.12 miles of trails, and 1.9 miles of asphalt. The 5K course is 3.12 miles of trails. Kid run is all trails.
Q: Can I get a refund?
A: No, we do not offer refunds however we do allow a one time transfer to one of our other events. You may also transfer you registration to another individual. Transfers must be requested at least 14 days prior to the event.
Q: Can I defer to next year?
A: Yes, we do allow a one time deferral. Deferral requests need to be submitted at least 14 days prior to the event.
Q: Are strollers or dogs allowed?
A: No, due to the terrain strollers are allowed. No, dogs are not allowed.
Q: Can I pick up my packet race morning?
A: Yes, between 6:15 AM - 7:15 AM at base of Old Zoo.
Q: Can a friend pick up my packet?
A: Yes. They will need to bring a photocopy of your ID.
Q: Is there Gear Check?
A: Yes, there is a gear check at the starting line starting at 6:15 AM Sunday morning. All Gear must be picked up by 11:15 AM. Any gear not picked-up will be held in our storage for 48hrs.
Q: Will there be Aid Stations? or Port-a-potties?
A: There will be aid stations at the start/finish, and at miles 1.63, 3.5, 4.5, and 6.62 for the 8M. For the 8K their is an aid station at 1.5 miles and 3.5 miles. For the 5K aid stations will be at start/finish, miles 1.52. Porta-a-Potties will only be at start/finish.
Q: May a guardian/parent participate with their child in the 2K?
A: Yes
Q: Can I register on race day?
A: Yes, we accept cash, venmo, and zelle. $65 for 5K, $67 for the 8k, and $79 for 8m.

Due to late construction at Old zoo the start / finish location is now on the fire road just north of Old Zoo!
How to get Here:
From the 5 North, take the Griffith Park exit, turn right on Crystal Springs Drive and Left on Fire Rd that leads to the Merry Go Round Parking lot.
From the 5 South, exit Los Feliz Blvd. West., turn right at Crystal Springs Drive (Riverside Dr. turns into Crystal Springs Dr.) and turn left on the Fire Rd that leads to the Merry Go Round Parking lot.
From the 134 East, exit Victory Blvd. and follow signs to the LA Zoo. Turn right onto Riverside and take an immediate left onto Zoo Drive. (Turns into Crystal Springs Dr.) Turn right on Fire Rd that leads to the Merry Go Round Parking lot..
From the 134 West Take Zoo Drive Exit. Turn left onto Zoo Drive. (Turns into Crystal Springs Dr.) Turn right on Fire Rd that leads to the Merry Go Round Parking lot.
Parking:
You will arrive at an intersection where there are several activities including the Merry-Go-Round, the Wilson Harding Golf Course, and the Ranger Station. Limited parking will be available, we strongly encourage participants to carpool or Ride Share. The closest lot to the site is Merry Go Round Parking lot 2 (follow signs to the Merry-go-Round).

OTG Events is Glendale based event production company that is focused on producing hyper local running experiences. Founded in 2015 by Choy and Leland, OTG Event’s first production was the 2016 Griffith Park Trail Marathon Relay & 8K. Events owned and operated by OTG Events include the LA Sunset Trail Relay & 8K, and the Hollywood Sign Run.
