Moore Equity in Mental Health 5K: Run, Walk, or Roll

Run, walk, and roll to help individuals and organizations that support awareness programs and provide services to improve the mental health of young people of color.

The APA's Division of Diversity and Health Equity invites you to join us in combating mental health inequities facing young people of color and in honoring mental health advocate Bebe Moore Campbell. Your time and dollars go a long way in making a difference for young people of color facing the mental health challenges and the impact of systemic racism. Funds raised benefit the APA Foundation Moore Equity in Mental Health Community Grants Program, which supports individuals and community organizations that have undertaken innovative awareness programs and/or have provided services to improve the mental health of young people of color.

Additional Questions:

  • Is bib swapping allowed? Absolutely not. Registration is free, so be sure to sign up for your own bib and help keep our race recording accurate across all categories.
  • How should I wear my bib? For the most accurate chip read be sure fastened the bib to the front of the outermost layer of clothing, secured with 4 safety pins.
  • Can I bring my pet? Of course! We ask that all pets remain leashed according to National Park Service guidelines and that you run, walk and roll towards to back of the course.
  • I have a stroller. Is that okay? Absolutely! We are excited to have anyone, of any age, participate in the event. We do as that if you are running or walking with a stroller that you start the race towards the back.
  • I can’t attend anymore and would like to give my registration to someone else. Can I do that? Since registration is free, we ask that all participants register for the event. This allows our race recording to be accurate across all categories.
  • I’m bringing friends/family to the event, but they haven’t registered. The more the merrier! They can register on site and pick up their bib at the registration tent. Also, be sure to send them a special invite from Olympic Gold Medalist Dominique Dawes by clicking here.
