Bike Walk Golden Isles is a Glynn County, GA, based nonprofit working to create a safer and more accessible community for all who bike, walk, run and roll. We offer a variety of safety classes as well as work with our local authorities on cyclist/pedestrian safety issues.
As a 501(c)3, BWGI is supported by a combination of grants, memberships, and, most importantly, private contributions like yours. Through your support, we'll be able to continue our efforts to:
- Continue advocating for additional and improved trails for walkers, runners and cyclists, particularly on the East Coast Greenway, the MLK/Altama trail in Brunswick, and on St. Simons Island.
- Expand the reach of our safety programs
- Offer regular free group events such as community bike rides, walk-and-talk sessions, how-to classes (like how to change a bike tire and tube, night safety when walking/running)
As always, you can keep up with up-to-the minute events and programs at our website, Facebook and Instagram. If you would like to contribute further, contact us to become a volunteer, or talk to your friends about our cause!
